RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

· Legal, with the Judiciary General Council, under the agreement signed in the year 2002 and revised in the 2003 and 2006 to promote research aimed at the realization of unpublished works in fields within
the civil jurisdiction, commercial and contentious administration, which will benefit the judicial career because of the originality of the work, by its nature, and to formulate scientific proposals for reform in this area.


· Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the “Soria 21 Forum”, its main aim is to establish in this city¨ The United Nations on Sustainable Development Agency¨.
It organises some international meetings, which have concentrated on energy, transportation, population analysis and sustainable development. Chaired by Mr. Amalio de Marichalar and Mr. Juan Calvo as vice president. It works directly with the same institutions as ADECO, CEU, CEOE, IEE and the Council of Soria among others. These meetings have gained international prestige.

· Seminars and Roundtable, are planned, the possibility of carrying out research work and workshops, in collaboration with other entities, which will be proposed throughout the year 2008 and be approved by the Patronage.

· Classroom of Economy, in collaboration with the Economic Studies Institute, its aim is the study of different aspects of economic activity, especially in the Hotel industry and tourism, construction, transport and
bullfighting world. Nowadays it is working on a study of the Madrid hotel Economy. “Hotels in the CAM ¨.

Over the past few years the Madrid Community has seen one of the largest hotel capacity expansions in all of Europe. This process is linked with the development of enhanced economic activity, the popularity of Madrid as a tourist destination and trade fairs and congresses, and the increase in the transient population.

The study will analyze and quantify this reality assesing the strengths and weaknesses of the Madrid hotels within its various segments, facing a coherent future strategy.

· Sponsorship and editing work: “Security and Intellectual Property in the Virtual Training University Campus”, research legal project backed with legal compliance of the UCM, through its Office of the Vice-chancellor for Innovation and the Space of European Higher Education.
